Stan's focus in life has always been on giving back and doing more, and ever since he first drove through Shelter Island in 1977 his two strongest loves have been our Island and the Law.

As a practicing attorney for 47 years in a wide variety of areas, 36 of those focused on the East End, Stan has developed extensive knowledge of the court system, State and local laws, and Shelter Island's Town Code.

He recognizes that as a judge, it is vital to treat everyone fairly and impartially, to listen to all with respect, to make decisions that benefit our community and to be constantly learning so as to be current on the ever evolving legal landscape.

That commitment has led him to serve on numerous Bar Association committees as a dynamic and respected member of the legal community.

It has also led to years of service on multiple non-profit Boards.

Stan has the character, ethical sense, and temperament needed for an excellent Town Justice and will make Shelter Islanders proud.
