Welcome to our new site! The Shelter Island Town Democratic Committee and its members work to enrich the community and government through the hard work and dedication of our volunteers and citizens of the Town of Shelter Island.

Our mission includes seeking out and supporting qualified candidates and officials who wish to serve on Shelter Island's appointed and elected boards and commissions. These individuals must possess individual dignity and pledge to serve the best interest of the community, its taxpayers and citizens.
We are dedicated to making participation in our democratic process as easy and as convenient as possible and this site is one of the many tools we'll be be using to help make our government truly one "of the People" - that means you!
